Project Life- Week 10

A few pictures from our week. The boys at the grocery store...

Matthew insists on climbing everywhere. He just can't help himself. He was sitting on the edge of the couch for a little bit and then on the end table for a little bit and then dangled in between the two for a little bit.

He got a little bit tired.

Johnny and Casey stopped by for a little visit. They took Lily to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and enjoyed a really eventful dinner. Johnny got some hot wings that were maybe just a little too hot. For example... he was still feeling sick then next morning. :) Lily loved her dinner and the cake that they splurged on.

Yes, Girl Scout cookies is finally at an end. We did our cookie booth on Saturday and now we are done until next year! It was exhausting.

Here are a few pictures from weeks 1 and 2. I am going to try and post the layout from the week before since I get my pictures later in the week.

Pinterest Project #5

I have had my eye on this display from Tidbits from the Tremaynes for-EVAH!

We have moved around so much that this really appeals to me.

I really wanted to do an exact copy at first. I tried to figure out how I was going to do it.... vinyl, stencil, freehand, etc. It was a little frustrating. Also, the problem of where to put it. I needed a wall that wasn't hidden somewhere so people would actually see it but one that didn't already have something I loved.

Anywho, after all this overthinking I gave up.

I didn't think about it for a long time. Probably about 6 months.

Then, yesterday as I was cleaning out some boxes from the basement looking for something entirely different I came across some old picture frames. I immediately thought of this project. To be fair, I was an opening short. I chose to leave out our current location. It's my project, I make the rules, right? Right.
So, to Picnik I quickly went, created my little blank canvas and then back into Picasa for the text. Bada bing, bada boom. Project done. I spent absolutely nothing. It took me 20 minutes. I am almost ashamed to admit that.

sigh.

Here it is... the finished product. (This is not it's permanent home. I just needed it hung where there was a little natural light for the picture. Working on a home for it now...)

Project Life- Week 9

Sunday: We delivered a lot of our Girl Scout cookies. She sold more this year than last year!

Monday: We had a trip to the doctor thanks to some sick kids -Lily, Hannah, and Matthew- over the weekend. We ended up waiting there for about 4 1/2 hours because Matthew had such a high fever and they were trying to find out why it was so bad. We finally got it down from 105.7 to 101 so that we could get home.

Fast forwarding many days...
Saturday: We went tot he Maple Syrup Festival and had a really great time with the all you can eat pancakes and the little crafty things that they had for the kids to do. After that we headed to a birthday party for the one year old daughter of some friends of ours.

Project Life- Week 8

This weeks overview...

There are so many pictures that I am still not entirely sure that I know what I am going to do with them. I think once I get them I will be able to lay them all out and figure out what I want to do...

Joe wanted me to take some pictures for our church directory so I had my camera with me and thought I would take a little every Sunday morning kind of picture.

Love this baby! Too bad he loves his daddy more than he loves me right now. Every single day all I hear is "dada?" Maybe someday he will decide that I am worthy of his love and affection. :)

Why is it that we can clean under the couches at least once a week and it still looks like this? I just don't get it.

Shrove Tuesday talent show at the church. The girls decided to do a little dance performance.

Once again. Camera to church for pictures for the church directory. Love the Ash Wednesday service.

Hannah was longing to go outside. The snow was beautiful, such big and fluffy flakes. It was so pretty.

Skyping with Gramma Laurie. Lily is starting to enjoy reading to Gramma instead of just listening to all the stories.

So beautiful! The aftermath of the longed after snowstorm. It was just like Narnia (just don't pay any attention to the power lines in the picture).

Birthday party at the Phelps Pavilion. So much fun! I am definitely thinking about getting an annual membership there. The kids loved it!

Yes siree Bob. I am linking up again, as usual. You know what to do.

Project Life- Week 7

Sunday: Joe and I were able to go out to dinner for our anniversary/Valentines. One of our friends kindly offered to watch the kids for us. We went to the Olive Garden for dinner and then caught a showing of The Vow. It was fun night. There was no taking kids to the bathroom, cleaning up a mess under the table, waiting forever to get a table for 6, not having to wipe anything that didn't belong to me... So fun!

Monday: We just had a normal day. Nothing terribly exciting or monumental.

Tuesday: Lily had her Valentine party at school. I went to the school to hang out with them.

Wednesday: Caravan award ceremony for Lily and Jake. I have to note here that there may be some extra work we need to do with Lily on the whole singing thing. She may have been just a little off key. Yikes!

Friday: We had a movie night. I love that we have two and two. They are just so cute together. :)

Saturday: We went to the Valentine Dinner at the church. They had a 60's theme to the whole thing. Joe was Ed McMahon and one of our youth was Johnny Carson. All the soda bottles are prizes for winning rounds of Guess the 60's Song from a tiny little clip.

You know how I do...
