ROCK BAND!!!

So, there are not many reasons that I would want any kind of gaming system in my house.  I have however a few weaknesses.  NASCAR racing (thanks to Amy Hughes, New Years, 2001), Dance Dance Revolution (thanks to Matt and Christie Dapelo, Summer, 2006) and Guitar Hero (thanks to Wal-Mart electronics display, Summer, 2007).  Now, I have to say that I really have enjoyed Danny bringing Rock Band into my house for the Easter week.  It is so much fun!  I would say that I probably watched more than I played but that was partly out of intimidation of one certain Christie Dapelo on drums.    The kids and adults all enjoyed playing with it and unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the whole clan watching with mouths wide open but I got some of Lily, Joe and Dan before the rest got here.

We will most likely never get it but it is fun to have for a short period of time.  I am sure that I would get really sick of it if I had it in the house!

004 As you can see, she was a pro!

Happy Birthday!

030

Well, I know this is late but better late than never.  My BABY Lily is now 3 years old!  I am having such a hard time watching her morph out of baby and into little girl.  She is so amazing sometimes and makes me really want to stop time so that I can spend a little more time with her and then there are times when I don't think I can wait for the year 2023 when she is 18 and out of the house.  ;)  I love it all!

We had a wonderful day going to the Chuck with all of the 003 cousins.  It got a little wild but was a lot of fun and was nice to get out of the house with all the family.   Lily had a lot of fun with the tokens...I don't think any child 022played one game more than her.  025 She didn't get the ticket concept until the end when she was able to get the FABULOUS tattoo and body stickers.  Pulling all the tickets out one by one was the most fun she had.026

So, we had a wonderful time.  Everyone napped on the way there and some on the way back so we had semi functional children upon returning to the house.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY!  WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Update on life...

It has been too long. Things have been so chaotic I just haven't had the time to do anything...emails-going unanswered, phone messages-13 on just the home phone, mail-taking over my table...It is terrible.
The kids have had some crazy virus thing that has been hanging on. Lily got it first and quickly passed it on to Jake. The last week has been spent alternating days at home with Joe, comforting children that are burning a hole in your arms as you hold them, trying not to breathe in the toxic fumes as they cough, trying to force enough food and liquid down their throats to keep them alive, spending the entire night with them both laying on you because if you move even just a little they both start screaming, etc.
It is so hard to function when kids are sick, I have a feeling that now they are feeling a little bit better I will be spending the rest of the week cleaning the house and doing laundry so that I can actually start wearing my cuter clothes instead of the laundry day clothing.
Next week is Holy Week and that is always chaotic. I was counting church services that Joe and I will be at and there are 7 next week. Crazy. Also, Lilys birthday is the day after Easter this year so that should be lots of fun. Hopefully Chuck E Cheese isn't crowded.
Lily can't wait to see her cousins...literally, it's a daily question now. Next time they come I don't think we will tell her this early.
Once I get my life together I will post something that is actually interesting with pictures...
