Fathers Day and Installation

006Joe was installed today as pastor of Faith Lutheran.  It was a very nice service and then the church had a brunch afterwards.  We really enjoyed being able to sit back and get to know the people in our new church home a little bit more.

After the service and brunch we all 010came home and somehow all ended up taking a nap.  When we got up we decided to drive out to Kankakee/Bourbonnais for some exploring and got in the car.  It was sprinkling a little when we left but in the 30 mile drive somehow we hit a MAJOR thunderstorm with winds about 65-70 miles per hour.  Visibility was awful so we decided to eat there and ride it out a little.  The weather there was nice and the weather at home was nice but in between it was terrible.  So, we had dinner at Bakers Square and then went shopping a little bit.  We headed back home and had a slice of the French Silk Pie that Lily picked out for Joe and watched movies...  All in all, very relaxing and restful.

The kids just goofing off...002 003
