The church has members that host a summer fest during June, July, and August as there is no Sunday School for the kids. We went to the first one yesterday and the kids had a blast! There was a swingset, sandbox, bounce house, and any number of toys for the kids and a couple of games set up for the adults to play. The big game out here at parties has to be the bean bag toss. They had a tournament going and it was actually really fun to watch how seriously some people took it. There was great food and time to just hang out and talk with others. We are really looking forward to the next two.
Lily on the slide...the hat was one of the things that they gave all the kids when they arrived. She kept sneaking off with scoops of sand so I am not exactly sure what was going on there. I love the look that was on her face...
And lastly, Jake...on his way to who knows where...most likely the sandbox. He was a little overwhelmed by the bounce house because all of the kids in it were considerably bigger. Lily was the closest one to him in size and the next one up was 5. A little much for the 1 1/2 year old.
All in all, a really fun day. Now, back to the house and unpacking. This is my last day to get it all done before we leave for convention and I want to come home to a put together house. Here's hoping!
