Happy Thanksgiving to all... We just got home a little bit ago from a fun-filled few days in Milwaukee.  Lily is sleeping, Jake is not, and Hannah is fighting a bellyache.  Must have been all the turkey she had this weekend.

The kids had fun playing with their cousins.  We had a great time relaxing and visiting on Thursday before dinner started.  After a fabulous dinner (thanks Matt) we got all the kids in bed and played some games.  We discovered that Christie is indeed the reigning princess of spoons and pretty much every other game that we played that night.

The next morning Nikki, Christie and I braved the cold dark streets of Milwaukee to go shopping at 5.  We had a great time and got pretty much everything that we needed/wanted.  It is officially Christmas season now!

002 Can you find the baby amidst the babies??  Jake came close to stepping on her several times...

The kids waiting patiently for their dinner.

Matt impressing Christie with his rule reading ability...can't you tell she was thrilled?

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I know it is a little early for the thanksgiving post but I just had to share.  Lily came home from school today and showed me her thanksgiving project.  She had to tell the teacher what she was thankful for so here it is.

Thank you God for...Fruit snacks, Cookies, and Flowers

I love it.  She does indeed have her priorities in order.  Apparently the flower the teacher drew for her wasn't perfect without a stem and a little dirt. :)

Also, the word of the day...COINCIDENCE.  She used it in the car on the way home today.  I love it.  Apparently all the reading we did/do with her paid off.  Jeopardy here we come!

New pics of the littlest one.  She is so strong!  We love watching each new thing that she does.  Right now all she wants to do is look around and be involved in everything.  I love the second one.  Hmmmmmm.  TV watching is starting.  She likes the bright colors and the music.

Update and Brrrrrrr!

It is officially winter.  We have a high temp this week of I think 45 degrees.  The grass is still mostly green but the leaves are gone and the ground is super hard.  There are occasional flurries but nothing has stuck yet and I don't know if it will.  I am really hoping for a white Christmas this year.  The anticipation of Thanksgiving and all of the Christmas preparations is starting to get too exciting for me.  LOVE IT! :) We are looking forward to thanksgiving with the Wisdaps. Lily can't stop talking about Madeline and Lauren. (the kids will be better by then, I promise...) Jake is excited to see everyone except for you Christie.  He said so... :) I think the marching thing scarred him for life!

Jacob is doing much better.  We were able to keep pneumonia at bay so we are just treating him for bronchitis now.  Hannah has been infected and Lily is still recovering from the nasty cold that she got last month. (The one downfall of winter...)  The pharmacist now knows us by name.  She asked Joe for all the kids birthdays today and he rattled them all off without stopping.  She looked at him and said, "Wow, even without pausing." Joe replied that he was a good dad and then when she brought out the 5 prescriptions he responded "Oh, maybe I'm not a good dad.  All the kids are sick."  Gotta love it!

104 Degrees

017 Jacob is sick STILL!  We have just started the third round of antibiotics to try and shake this bug.  It is either "severe bronchitis or early stages of pneumonia". I am hoping for the bronchitis.  Anyway, needless to say we are not getting a lot of sleep in our house.  I have to take him back in to possibly get admitted tomorrow if the fever doesn't go down with the first two or three doses of the antibiotic.

011 Trying to keep him quiet and happy has been somewhat exhausting.  We broke out some MAGIC fingerpaint and that worked for a little while...thank goodness.

012 He couldn't understand why the paint was showing up on the paper and not on his fingers...Weird! Hopefully the poor baby will be feeling better tomorrow.

Sing a song...

I have been promising Joe's mom that I would post a video for awhile now and have yet to do it.  So, here it is.  This one is just Lily singing a song or three for your musical enjoyment.  Hope it is all you hoped for! :)

It's snowing!

001Walking home from church was really exciting due to the light flurries that we were enjoying.  Lily kept wanting to "catch" the snowflakes on her tongue.  It was a little hard since it was windy out and the snow wasn't cooperating.  She did however stick her tongue on the pole for the stop sign right by the house.  003I had always seen

that in movies (you know which ones I mean) and thought, "who would be dumb enough to do that?"  Well, obviously this was before I had my children.  Fortunately it wasn't cold enough for any damage to have been caused, although I do think that I scared the living daylights out of her.  I did not take the photo opportunity as I was a little more concerned about the state of her tongue.013

Just a quick picture of Hannah.  Thank you for the cute top Gramma Jack.  She looks so cute in it now that she finally fits into it!  Don't you just love the light glistening off of the little baldy?  I need to invest in some sort of hair things for bald babies.  People need to know she is a girl! :)

2 Months

Hannah is now 2 months old!  I can't even believe how fast the time has been flying.  I have a feeling it is just going to go faster and faster.

Lily was holding her head and trying to force her to look at the camera.  That wasn't her favorite thing ever.

I think  that she was mocking me.  I asked her why she was getting so big, so fast and this is the expression that I got!

This is THE happiest baby ever! 019 I can't believe how lucky we are to have gotten such a good baby.  I am sure that there will be times that I look back at this post and wonder what I was thinking but for now I just have to say that we are the LUCKIEST parents EVER!

P.S. How sweet is this?!!

The girls...Lily loves holding her and she gets so excited when Hannah lets her hold hands.  Oh, if only they will stay really good friends.

We went to see High School Musical 3 last night and had a blast!  Joe and I took Lily and a friend from church while her parents watched the 2 little ones.  We had a fabulous time and Lily really enjoyed being there too. She took a picture with...

Need I say more?? When I asked her if she liked Gabriella or Sharpay better guess what she said???  SHARPAY! All the way.  Joe says that it is all my fault, that I MADE her like Sharpay.  My response is, how does that happen? Oh, and she didn't eat ALL that popcorn. It was for all 4 of us. :)

Fun visit with friends

We had a great visit with friends of ours from Ohio.  Lily has been missing friends there so it was nice to see them.  Grace and Kyle kept the kids running, literally, the entire time they were here.  We went for a walk on Saturday morning, of course we had to choose the first really cold day to do it.  It was beautiful though and the kids had lots of fun running off their energy.  Since the fall leaves are officially over this will be the last fall post.

A Swing-sational Day!

The kids wanted to swing the other day and with weather this nice who can say no.  Hannah wasn't into the whole swinging thing and Jake was beyond tired so he was not interested in being swung (is this even a word??).  All he wanted to do was just sit in the swing.  Joe was the only person ALLOWED to touch the swing.  Yes, I have lots of work to do with that one.  Lily just wanted to run around wild...003 001

Now the face that only a mother can love...

Lily touched the swing...GASP!

I have to say that we are enjoying as much of this beautiful weather as we can...It won't be around for much longer!

Election day fun

Lily has been wanting to do something with Jello for a few days now so I decided to make a nice patriotic dessert with her.  It ended up being more of a snack than a dessert but we had tons of fun making it.  The biggest frustration with Jello is that you have to wait for the finished product, something that my super patient toddler and preschooler are not especially wonderful at.  After an entire day of driving me nuts with "Is it ready? Is it ready? It's ready now right?" it was FINALLY ready and they enjoyed digging in.  So, here are the little angels, enjoying their tasty treat.

Cutting out the shapes and eating all the scraps.  So much fun!!005 017

So, we had a ton of fun...Happy Election Day to everyone!  Now to settle the kids down from the perpetual sugar high that they have been on since Halloween!

Fall has fallen

Happy November! It is so crazy that this year is almost done.  It has just flown by.  Now that Halloween is over it seems like there is just not enough time left this year to finish everything for Thanksgiving and Christmas!  CRAZY!

Lily is so excited that it is fall.  I don't know if she is just now getting the concept of seasons or what but she is very interested in autumn.  Maybe she, like her mommy, finds fall to be the best season ever.  Cool enough to wear sweaters, drink hot drinks, eat hot food and have it be really comforting, the colors outside, etc.  I could go on and on forever!062 063 068

I love it ALL! If only it was a longer season.
