Pumpkins in the Park

After soccer pictures, game, and Joe taking a quick nap to try and recover a little from the Dave Matthews concert last night we drove out to Cissna Park for their annual Pumpkins in the Park. We had a little bit of trouble getting there. We took a scenic route that involved some guessing and a lot of driving on gravel roads through nothing but miles of fields. My fault. Ooooops.

Once we got there we got some lunch. The kids really enjoyed the hotdogs and chips.

Matthew was just enjoying the day. It was a little chillier than we had expected and he was the only one with a sweatshirt. Oooops.

We saw an enormous pumpkin. I don’t know how they even got it up onto the trailer.

The kids spent a huge amount of time playing in the many bounce houses that they had set up and then we picked out 3 pumpkins and called it a day.

It was really fun. They had a great time. Even if it wasn’t the most exciting afternoon for Joe and myself, they had a blast and that is what makes my day. :)IMG_1496
