French Bread for Breadmaker

1 1/4 cup water (70-80*)
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1 Tbsp cornmeal

1 egg
1 Tbsp water
2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

-Put dry, then wet into the pan and select the dough setting.
-Turn onto a lightly floured surface and divide in half. Roll each into 10x8 inches. Roll up the long side and pinch seams.
-Sprinkle greased sheets with cornmeal, place loaves seam side down. Cover and let rise until doubled, usually about 20 minutes.
-Whisk egg and water, brush onto the loaves and make 4 shallow slashes across the top of each loaf. Sprinkle with the seeds if you want.
-Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

This is so easy and so fast! I love the smell of bread baking and it tastes GREAT!
