We spent quite a bit of time chilling out and playing UNO with Marsha and Pastor Hays. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed giving "Grandpa Frankie" a hard time.
We got the chance to hang out with a lot of people that we haven't seen in forever. Wendy was the kids' babysitter while I was working in Fort Wayne for the AALC. She had Jake from when he was a baby and was like a second mother to him. She was like another family member. :)
Jake spent a lot of time hanging out with his Star Wars guys. There are still a few that he doesn't have. We are working on that.
It really was so good to see people. It was like we hadn't ever left.
We headed over to the Norden's house after the funeral dinner. They all enjoyed playing in the sand, checking out the barn cats and other livestock. They were playing and having a great time!
We headed back to the house after our visit with them. Unfortunately Lily had a really bad allergic reaction to the barn cats there which resulted in some phone calls to some friends back home. Love that we have a nurse and optometrist we can call in case of emergency. She ended up getting some sleep and woke up better. She was still really swollen in the morning but had definitely improved from the night before. Gotta love those late night medical emergencies when traveling in a different state. So fun. NOT.
