 Week 34 | Catch up

All the pictures this week are of school and prep. It is so nice to get back into a daily routine. I have missed it.

First day of School!

The kids started school a little later this year than in previous years. I think they enjoyed that extra week of summer!

Seriously, I can only hope that this too shall pass. She always makes the craziest faces.

Mr Diligent.

Hannah is really excited about starting school for big kids. She is looking forward to eating lunch in the cafeteria the most. Weird? I think so.

Matthew with his preschool sign. He didn't start the same day but was inconsolable about being left out of the fun so we did his early.

One more first day of school picture on the day that Matthew actually started.

Matthew on his first day of preschool. So exciting!

and one more... just because he is funny.

I love that the tradition on the first day of the 3 year old class is to make gingerbread men. So fun! They do the story, sing the song, go on a gingerbread hunt around the whole building and then eat them cookies for snack. So much fun for their first day.

The first day/week went really well for all of them. They had so much fun meeting all new people and getting used to new routines and schedules.

Project Life 2013 | Week 33

Week 33 | Catch up.

Most of the pictures this week are from our super fun super quick visit with the Nelson family.

So funny. This guy was driving around with an inflatable whale on the top of his car. No big thing. It wasn't like he was heading to the pool either. He pulled into John Deere like that.

Meeting up with the Pichas for dinner and then taking the girls home for a sleepover. We ate at the restaurant down the street a few blocks so we walked there and back. Always nice to work off your dinner before you eat it and immediately after.

Brunch with the Meyerhoff-Davie clan.

A long overdue visit with friends!

SO EXCITING! Our friends, the Nelsons, were on a road trip to Minnesota from California and made a stop to see us! We were so excited to have them come. We haven't seen each other in 8 years so we were long overdue for a visit. We are a few more people than the last time we were together. We have each had three more children since seeing each other.

Our kids were instant friends. My kids were so sad to say goodbye. (check out Leah and Hannah! I love it!)

Checking out a worm. It was fascinating!

Lots and lots of hugging.

There may have been some attempts to get a goodbye kiss.

We had such a wonderful time. I was a little tired after our conversation until the wee hours in the morning but it was totally worth it. I didn't want to go bed and miss even a minute. Thank you so much for coming Josh and Emily! We loved it!

Project Life 2013 | Week 32

Week 32 | Catch up

This is our normal.

Matthew loving his new bike. Trying it out in the church parking lot.

Poor monkey. He looks happy at least! :)

Swimming at the local pool. They love it. Next year we may have to get a pass...

Thank you Target for taking all my money. Home decor is pricey! Even on sale.

Lily at the doctor. Normal stuff for her. I love that their office has stuff in every room to entertain the kids...

I want this piano. Hopefully we will be able to get it soon.

So excited to have the Nelson family visit us! Emily is a skilled tooth-puller-outer so she took on the challenge of Jake's ridiculous tooth situation. So happy!
