Project Life 2013 | Week 47

The girls Christmas present arrived from my mom and dad today. So sweet! They are going to love them.

The sunset was amazing. The birds were amazing. The fact that Matthew took this picture is even more amazing.

Speaking of Matthew, he is sick. The kids had the Caravan awards ceremony tonight and he just sat quietly in my lap the whole time napping off and one. He just isn't feeling good at all.

Christmas lights up downtown. So pretty!

Lily is getting her project on. She LOVES everything about this edition. She sat for quite some time sliding cards into the pages to "get ready".

As did Hannah. Hannah got whatever little bug Matthew had and it hit her hard. She was in bed for a few days before heading back to school. I am just relieved that she is feeling better.

The small ones. Hannah sleeping off her little bug she had. The boys room after painting all weekend. The ceiling is a dark blue and the walls a light gray. They love it.

Project Life 2013 | Week 46

Started out the week by working the soup table at church. There wasn't a lot left but we sold all the leftover soups from the soup and sandwich supper at church yesterday. Not gonna lie, the potato soup was delicious. I may have bought all of the leftover potato soup.

Going through all the shoes in the house to get bags ready to take to Minneapolis for Josh and Ruthie. These are just the girl shoes... there may be a problem. Fortunately almost all of these were bagged up and gotten rid of. The boys had just as many.

Waking up early to head to Minnesota to say farewell to the Wagners. We are going to miss them more than words can say.

Having breakfast with them in the morning. We were aiming for 8 and got there right before. It was a quick and easy trip.

Poor little thing. He wasn't feeling amazing. I was a little worried about how he would do on the plane with his congestion but found out later that he slept. A lot.

More chatting before loading up to leave.

Cutie. He is going to be gigantic and old the next time we see him. :(

He was loving climbing in and out of this bucket. Over and over and over.

The little quilt I made for him. It makes me so happy to see how much he likes it.

Just hanging at the airport while things are shuffled around so that each bag and trunk was exactly the right weight.

He was really interested in the baby leash until he realized that it meant he wasn't going to be able to go wherever he wanted. Then, not so much fun. He was trying to get away while all the rest of us laughed.

Elijah with one of his grandmas.

These two! Johnny surprised Ruthie by coming to the airport. I still find it hysterical that she was surprised.

Saying goodbye to his godmother wasn't easy for the little boy who has a hard time with goodbyes anyway.

One last picture together for a few years...

After they left we went to lunch with Johnny at a little hole in the wall Mexican place and then went to IKEA for a quick stop. By the time we got home it was around 7:30. All in all, not a terribly long trip but it made for a long day.

Hannah has the most amazing bedhead in the history of bedhead.

Making meatballs with daddy. She loves helping in the kitchen. I love that she doesn't freak out at touching raw meat. I don't love it but she had a blast.

Just a few mini ones for the small pockets. Joe got a new suit this week and while looking for it he stumbled on this gem.

Project Life 2013 | Week 45

This week was kind of a bust with picture taking. Apparently we were too busy living life to document it. :)
The power team came to the school. It was pretty cool seeing the stuff that they did. I remember being in high school and watching them.

One of the bushes outside of the house. So colorful and beautiful. These don't last long enough.

Some of the art from school. I LOVED the one on the right. Hannah did it in her class. The plate was world, next was country, next was state, then city, then neighborhood, then house. She drew a picture and/or colored each layer.

Hannah has gotten on a Bible kick. She wants to read it whenever she has even just a minute and has developed a new love for this one from her godparents David and Rachel a few years ago. She loves that there is a page in there all about Hannah. :)

Well, that is all there is. Still trying to figure out how this is going to look in the book. Will hopefully update that later.

Project Life 2013 | Week 44

Joe got back from a trip to California. The kids were ecstatic! We all missed him while he was gone.

Hannah, doing her usual pass out in the car and only make it to the couch move.

Matthew has a slight problem with shoes.

Trunk and treat at the church. Hannah and her friend Harper.

As usual, costumes this year courtesy of Gramma Laurie. Hannah was the absolute best Alice. She was so perfect.

Jake had his birthday party at the gym that Hannah goes to for gymnastics. It was well worth it. They had such a good time.

Small individual costume pics. Lily was a My Little Pony, Jake and Matthew were both superheroes after a fashion and Hannah was Alice. I think I would actually like her to be Alice or Cindy Lou every year. She really pulls off the costumes well.

Joe brought home some more homemade plum jelly from Roma (Joe's godmother). Jake got two jars this size when we were out there this summer and was devastated when they ran out. When Joe pulled that out of his bag Jake was in ecstasy.
I had a girls night out on Tuesday after Joe got home from California. We went out to dinner. It was so nice to unwind and have 2 hours of kid free time. Thanks honey! You are awesome.
