Hello all! Since we are all currently adjusting to this new normal I thought I would resurrect this online journal that I have not been maintaining at all. In light of everything happening I thought it might be fun to go back to using this platform and encouraging the kids and maybe even Joe to contribute. Now that the kids are older our life looks so different from all the "kid" posting that we used to do.
So, without further ado... how we have been spending our "shelter in place"! We were so blessed to have Christie and Lauren visit us right as things were starting to get a little crazier. They were here with us as things started to shut down and we were asked to begin “social distancing”. That really helped the kids feel a little less concern because they were so distracted. We played hours of games, worked on projects, enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful 70 degree weather, ate tons of snacks from France and Poland, and just enjoyed being together! Thanks for coming guys!! Loved it!
Teaching Christie and the Corn Queen how to play Dutch Blitz.
Wearing matching pjs is always fun. Especially when you can make TikToks in them and scare everyone downstairs as you jump off the beds upstairs.
These two are an actual mess! They got these shirts and hats from Skip and Laurie and to our shame, wore them all over. They even went to karaoke night at youth group dressed in these. Exciting fact: Hannah won the karaoke contest and got a hoodie as a prize!!
Meanwhile, Christie and I went to Bunco, she borrowed a shirt from me since it was St. Paddy's Day themed and then ended up twinning with one of my friends. Seriously! So funny! We were all dying.
Eating all the snacks! They each held up their favorite thing. Matthew ended up running a low grade fever so he was getting a little extra cuddle time with Gramma.
These two were just chilling on the runway they made for themselves. When gym is closed, you do what you have to...
Also, trampoline! We need to put up a new net. Don't judge.
Saying goodbye is always the worst.
We are so grateful for our amazing family!
